Clifton E. Vaughan, 77, of Columbus, Ohio, died 7:50 p.m. Friday at his residence.
He was Born June 7, 1902, in Willis< VA, a son of John E. and Orlena Turman Vaughan.
Mr. Vaughan was a retired assistant superintendent of the U.S. Shoe Corp. and a member of the Little Flock Baptist Church at Willis, VA. He was a member of Enoch T, Carson Lodge No.598, F&AM, Greenfield Chapter 133 RAM and Greenfield Chapter 497 OES.
April 17, 1926, he married Jessie Milligan, who survives him. Also surviving are his mother, Mrs. Orlena Vaughan of Willis, VA; one daughter, Mrs. William (Katherine) Lewis of Orient; three grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Anna Pratt, Mrs. Vera Wade, Mrs. Vinnie Turman, Mrs. Sylvia Conner, Mrs. Arbutus Sykora; five brothers, Ephrem, Harley, Maynard, Roy and John. One brother and one great-grandson preceded him in death.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Anderson-Strueve Funeral Home, Greenfield, with Rev. T. D. Walz and Rev. Herbert Stroup officiating and burial in Greenfield Cemetery, Greenfield, Ohio.
Masonic service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Monday following visitation by Greenfield Lodge 318, F&AM.
