I John Sayles...have bargained & Sold unto Stephen Arnold of Pautuxett ..a full Thirteenth part of a little Island undivided called ye Vineyard. ...may Containe about a quarter of an acre for which I have received five shillings in Tobacco, which was the full Sum & price I sold it for. I cannot make a firme deed of the foresd land, at presant because I have None myself yet of My ffatherin-law Mr. Roger williams. The forest land he gave me.
