Old research by a descendant cites that Benjamin was born 14 May 1717 to Jeremiah Gifford & Mary Wright, but furnished no documentation. This seems quite early given the age of Abigail Wing, their marriage and when the children were born. A Benjamin Gifford was born on that date in New Bedford, Bristol, Massachusetts Bay Colony to Jeremiah & Mary Gifford, BUT other researchers have given him very different wives, etc.
