Grover Cleveland Gabbard

(12 Jan 1890 - 4 Nov 1970)

Ancestry Tree note:
Grover C. Gabbard: Grover was a teacher, carpenter, WPA Supervisor in the 1930's. He worked at Niles Tool Works, Ford Motor plant, Sterling Pump Company and Estate Stove Co. He helped build Judson W. Gabbard's home on Allison Ave in Hamilton. Grover enjoyed Fishing, gardening and remodeling work. After retiring he enjoyed selling home grown produce from a pushcart and hunted Pawpaws in Indiana. He purchased a new 1937 Ford while employed at Ford and carried a vaid Ohio driver's License, yet he never learned to drive. He bought the car so he wouldn't have to use other people's vehicles when he needed to go somewhere. He often asked Bert Barrett to drive him places. Grover was active and hard-working until his sudden death from a heart attack at 80 years of age.
