FORT WORTH - Nellie Doris Steele of Fort Worth, a retired foster mother to more than 50 children during a 20-year period, died Friday at a Fort Worth hospital. She was 86.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Heritage Assembly of God in Fort Worth, where she was a member. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery in Weatherford.
Cotten-Bratton Funeral Home in Weatherford is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Steele was born in Indiana and lived in Parker County for more than 10 years before moving to Fort Worth, where she lived for 10 years. She was the widow of Charles Steele.
Survivor: Daughter, Marsha Warren of Fort Worth; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
