The following is odd - it appears the registrar confused his address for that of a sister. In the 1940 census, taken April 3, he is plainly listed with his family in Cedarville, Crawford Co, AR. It does stretch the imagination that two men of similar name were born on the same day.

Edward Goodlo Ewing of 400 Market St, E. Liverpool, Columbian, Ohio was age 30, b. 23 Aug 1910 in Wichita, Kan. Mrs. Raymond D. Knight, Sister, would always know his address. He was a day laborer. 5' 6 1/s", 135 lb. Brown eyes and hair.
