George Archibald Wilcox died 2 Aug 1948, in a mine, Blaine Co, Idaho, where he had been for two months. His usual residence was Salt Lake City. He was married; his wife, Ethel Dunn, age 53. He was born 9 Mar 1893 in Paris, Idaho. He was a miner for 30 years, working for D. C. Swing. He died of carbon monoxide poisoning from fumes from gasoline engine at face of mine tunnel. Fumes filled tunnel where man was working. Occurred at the Alturas Lake Mine.
Father was Geo. E. Wilcox, b. Paris, Idaho. Mother was Annie Clayton, b. Paris, Idaho. Informant was Joel R. Wilcox of Mudvale, Utah.
Body was removed to Salt Lake City.
