Mitchell Reedy/Brigham Conner
(27 Jul 1928 - 8 Feb 2012)
Pauls Valley Daily Democrat (OK) - Wednesday, February 8, 2012
Pauls Valley, Oklahoma — Fewer knew him by his birth name Mitchell-Reedy than Brigham Conner, 83. His life came to an end poignantly on the day of his 65th wedding anniversary with his beloved bride then known as Rosa Lee Blundell.
He was a man born of the land, spending his life ranching and working the lands of Elmore, Pernell and Doyle. Brigham was known for providing for his family as he always placed their needs before his own. He was born on July 27, 1928 and married on February 8, 1947.
He is preceded in death by his: parents Buster Clarence Conner and Dolly Wynona Conner (Big Daddy and Big Momma), brothers William Chester Conner and Jesse Reece Conner, and sister Geraldine Milligan.
He is survived in death by his wife Rosa Lee Conner; son Terry Conner and wife Christi, their children Brett Conner and Leah Jacob and great-granddaughter Ella-Marie Jacob; daughter Sheryl Elrod and husband Jess and their children Mindy Anthony and Misty Graves and great-grandsons Tanner Akers and Caden Graves.
Brigham was a staple at the Badger Den where he loved his cup of coffee and the endless conversations he had with fellow townspeople.
Fittingly he will be laid to rest in the same soils that he made a living from, taught his son and daughter to play ball on, and created many cherished memories on the family farm for his grand children and great grand-children alike. Rest in peace Grand-Pa. With love, the family.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Satterwhite Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Sandy Bear Cemetery under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.
