Thomas Rice will is dated 13 Apr 1800 and names wife Abigail and son Zeri Rice. Six children or heirs: Zeri Rice, George Sims [married to dau Zebia], Robert Blackwell [married to dau Zillah], Lancelot Johnston [married to dau Zeruah], Daniel Gwyn [married to dau Zipporah], and Tench Vannoy [married to dau Zora]. Negro Lydia to choose her master. [bequest to Margaret Lackey not described]. Land on Country Line to be sold; surveying instruments to be sold. After wife's death, land to be divided among her children. Each child to have a horse when they come of age. Exec: Robert Blackwell, Lancelot Johnston.

Lancelott Johnston. Will written 25 Jan 1832. Wife Zeriah to have 437 acres land whereon he now lives and one tract on the Hillsborough Road, also all personal property for her lifetime. Daughter Jane, 1/3 part of land after death of wife. Names daughters Polly & Betsy. Has given to other children their just portion. Exec: Thomas Harrison and James Yancy, son-in-law. Wit: Jethro Brown, William Brown.
Said Jethro is dead. Will proved by William Brown. Both executors are dead. John E. Brown and Mary Johnston appointed administrators with will annexed.
