Ruth V. Markword, 95, of Lincoln, (formerly of Quincy, Illinois) passed away on January 29, 2017 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.
Ruth was born on February 15, 1921 near Hannibal, Missouri, the daughter of Charles and Floye (Oliver) Irwin. Ruth married W.E. (Sprout) Markword on October 12, 1959.
Ruth is survived by her son, Mark (Vicki) Kuhlmeier; her daughter, Barbara Hadsell; her grandchildren, Steve (Teresa) Hadsell, Jay (Krishell) Hadsell, Scott Hadsell, Jean (Ted) Wagner, Brian (Kelly) Cale, Chad (Lisa) Cale, Amy (Scott) Kuhlman, Jeremy (Cindy) Cale, Lauren Kuhlmeier and Colby (Stasha) Kuhlmeier; 13 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews including her beloved niece, Delores Gunterman and family.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband; three brothers; three sisters; one daughter, Mary Colleen Cale; one son-in-law, Jerry Hadsell and two great-grandchildren, Ashley Bringer and Nick Cale.
Ruth will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
