I have some additional information about my Ruth Haden and Jacob Farris.
Jacob was born in 1735 c, probably in Henrico Co. VA and died on 18 May 1813 in Henry Co. VA.
His will, probated in September 1813 in Henry Co. It mentioned his daughter "Patsy Penn."

I have a DAR Supplemental on Jacob Farris for Civil Service in Bedford Co. VA. In November 1781, he provided food for the army.
Jacob and Ruth Farris' daughter, Martha "Patsy" Farris married George Penn on 08 Dec 1784 in Henry Co. VA. They moved to Rutherford County, TN. George Penn died in Rutherford County. His probate was dated 22 August 1828. Martha Penn also died there. Her will was filed on 28 Jan, 1828. (It is beautifully written. She willed some furniture and pieces of silver to specific children.)
I descend from George and Martha Penn's son Joseph Penn, b. 1790, who married Mary "Polly" Chitwood, 27 December 1810, in Patrick Co. VA. They moved to Lincoln Co. TN with Polly's parents, Joel and Sarah (Cantrell) Chitwood. Joseph died in Lincoln County after 1830 and Mary Chitwood Penn moved to Cape Girardeau Co. Missouri with her son Joseph Penn. She died there after 1850. ( I was born and raised in Cape Girardeau--my parents still live there.)
