RICHMOND — Betty Sue Crutcher, age 79, of Richmond, retired custodian for Big Hill Avenue Christian Church, died Monday in the Compassionate Care Center of Richmond.
Betty was also a member of the Big Hill Avenue Christian Church. She was born in Jackson County to the late John "Doc" Bowles and Stella Lakes Bowles Ambrose, and she was preceded in death by her husband, William Cecil Crutcher, who died in 1968.
Betty was also preceded in death by: her infant daughter, Janet Mae Bowles Crutcher; her siblings, John D Bowles Jr., Thelma McClellan, Donald L. Bowles, Linda Ambrose Deatherage; her nephew, Roger Johnson; and a grandson, Chad Gadd; and infant sister Edna Bowles.
Betty is survived by: her children, Sammy (Ruth) Crutcher of Richmond, and Carolyn (Dan) Robbins of Lebanon Ind.; and sisters Nancy Kirk and Anna Mae McCollum of Berea.
She is also survived by: her grandchildren, Adam (Sarah) Stewart, Samantha (Kevin) Spivey, Brooke (Carl) Chan and Amanda Robbins; and her great grandchildren, Makaya Spivey, Taylen Brinegar and Jagger Chan.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. at Lakes Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Pearson officiating. Burial will be in the Berea Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Robbie Johnson, Scottie Johnson, Matthew Kelley, Tim Kirk, Jason Ambrose, Josh Bowles, Brent Whittamore and Chris Bowles.
