MIDDLETOWN — Georgia Ivena (Williams) Byrer Fattic, 95, Middletown, passed away Dec. 15, 2013, in Florida.
Born Jan. 24, 1918, in Burns City, Ind., the daughter of Wilbur and Della Baker Williams, she was a graduate of Burns City High School. She owned and operated the Checkered Flag Inn.
She was a member of the Honey Creek Home Economics Club and attended the Honey Creek United Methodist Church and the Pleasant Valley Christian Church.
She had lived in Middletown for more than 65 years.
Survivors are two sons, James Byrer (Rose Kopiec) of Phoenix, Ariz., and Russell (Marcia) Byrer of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two stepsons, James (Rexanne) Fattic of Middletown and Bill Fattic of Fort Myers, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Cathy (Dave) Nichols of Middletown; six grandchildren; a brother, John (Wilma) Williams of Muncie; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by parents; first husband, Ermel Byrer; second husband, Virgil Fattic; sister, Masel Baker; and two brothers, Lee and Spencer Williams.
Celebration services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 S. Fifth St., Middletown, with Marty Ballard officiating. Burial will follow in Miller Cemetery in Middletown.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
