Monday, December 28, 1998 11:30 AM From: Earl Higginbotham - Bruceville, Texas Here's my direct Higginbotham lineage. For years many Higginbotham researchers have advocated the controversial lineage of our family as having descended from one Charles Higginbotham of the Barbados - through his son John, who married Frances Reily and settled in Amherst county, Virginia. This theory does not stand up under critical analysis of the official records of Barbados. Nor does this theory stand up to logical deductions derived from bits and pieces of information found in Virginia, Pennsylvania, and elsewhere. Hopefully, we can generate some discussion on this subject among the Higginbotham list members, during next year. -------------------------------- 1. Widow Higginbotham - Amherst county, Virginia.
