Richard McKinley, son of Alexander and Liddy McKinley passed away at the the home of his son, John McKinley near Smithfield, at the age of 74 years, 7 months and 9 days. He was united in marriage to Hester Engle March 29 1877, who passed away July 10 1912, to this union three children were born John near Smithfield, Mrs. Lydia May Bankes (Charles) and Mrs. Nora E. Bollinger (John), who preceded him in death. He leave to mourn his going the above named children, 19 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the home of his daughter Mrs. Charles Bankes, Sunday at 10:00 A.M. Conducted by Rev. W. R. Seitzinger. This is from the AUGUS-SEARCH-LIGHT Wednesday November 23 1927.
