Will of Reuben Moss of Granville, Co.
To son Bennet Moss, all that tract of land I now live on bounded by the lands I heretofore deeds to sons Samuel Moss, Franklin Moss, Turner Moss and Howell Moss; and the lands of Vincler Jones Senr, Vincler Jones Jr. and John Hare.
To my son Joshua, my negro girl Dalby and her future increase.
To my son Turner my pided cow and a calf - she being the beld cow to him and his heifer.
To son Franklin Moss, one cow and calf, the cow called young Demfee
My negroes Julius, Cyrus, and Dinah together with my stock of horses, cattle (not heretofore mentioned), shepp and hoggs, my crop of every discription, plantation tools and household and kitchen furniture shall be sold. After paying my just debts, the balance to be equally divided between all my children, to wit: John Moss, Howel Moss, Samuel Moss, Betsey Smith, Salley Smith, Patsey Smith, Polley Longmire, Reuben Moss, Turner Moss, Joshua Moss, Mercellus Moss, Franklin Moss, and Bennet Moss.
To my son Joshua Moss, $50 which my son Bennet Moss owes me to be paid in money or a horse of that value.
To my son Bennett all my Blacksmith tools.
I will in Trust to Fredrick Wiggins, William Hawkins & William B. Hare, one Negro boy called Richmond for the benefit of my son Turner Mosses wife and children to be managed as they think most conducive to their interest during the lifetime of said Turner and his wife and after their deaths to be sold and money equally divided between all the children of my son Turner Moss. However, should my son Turner died and leave Mary his widow my will is that the said Trustees shall have the power of dividing the property before her death if they think best.
I confirm my right and title to all property I have heretofore given any of my children and put in their possession including the negro man Bob hertofore given my son Bennet Moss and the girl Hannah which he purchased of me.
Executors to be son Bennett Moss and John Hare.
