Verla Mae Kester 92, of Willits died Friday, April 25 in Willits. She was born Jan 3m 1905 in Fort Worth, Texas.
Mrs. Kester was preceded in death by her husband, James Clyde Kester, in January 1988; by a daughter, Jean Finch, and a son Jerry Kester.
She is survived by two grandsons, Larry Finch of Laytonville and Greg Kester of Washington; and two granddaughters, Debbie Kester of Washington and Jenne Sheron of Oklahoma.
Mrs. Kester moved to Willits in 1982 from Dallas, Oregon, along with her husband, to be near her daughter.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed caring for her family and grandchildren.
She was a Pythian Sister of Dallas, Oregon. Interment will be at the Willis Cemetery and the family prefers memorial contributions to the Shrine Children's Hospital.
