FORT WORTH - Thomas R. Wright, 85, a retired technical writer, died Friday, March 1, 2002, at a local hospital.
Funeral: 3:30 p.m. Monday at Greenwood Chapel. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Greenwood Funeral Home.
Thomas R. Wright was born Feb. 6, 1917 in Floydada. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Thomas was a survivor of an airplane crash in the jungles of New Guinea during World War II. He was a member of Alliance Baptist Church.
Survivors: Wife of 47 years, Dorothy Jean Wright of Fort Worth; son, Tommy Jim Wright and wife, Billie Mae, of Azle; daughter, Linda Marie Ramsey and husband, John, of Houston; sons, Jerry Lewis Wright and wife, Irene, of Maryland, Paul Carleton Wright of River Oaks and Kent C. Wright and wife, Allison, of Fort Worth; daughter, Dana Carol Wright of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Mark Ramsey and Jody Ramsey, Michael Wright and David Wright, Sarah Wright and Taylor Wright and Andrea Martin; six great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Wright of Van Horn; and several nieces and nephews.
