In Brush Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Kossuth, Alcorn Co, is a grave stone for Jim Smith, b. 15 Dec 1884, d. 16 Sep 1966. This is also where other members of the family are buried. This also makes three different dates of birth!



There was another James Smith registered for the draft on 12 Sep 1918 in Sunflower Co. His birth was 15 Feb 1884. This was found attached to this James Henry but is a very different man - He was employed by A. M. Ayres of Shaw, Bolivar Co, MS and his nearest relative is Madison Knox of Shaw. Obviously not the man married to Emma.
