Roy Gatewood was a medic with the 194th Tank Battalion. He fought on Bataan and became a Japanese Prisoner of War on April 9, 1942. He spent over two years in POW camps in the Philippines. He was liberated by American Rangers on January 31, 1945 at Cabanatuan POW Camp.
