David Holt

( - Bef 1755)

That David Crawford had a grandson named David Holt is proved by a Virginia land patent. What is NOT documented is who his parents were. Some claim his mother was "Ann" Crawford that married a John Holt, yet no document exists that proves such a relationship. The claim is that she was the same as David's daughter Angeline. Others claim that Angeline married a McGuire and left Virginia. Of course there could have been both a daughter Ann and a daughter Angeline. One reference, with no proof, lists a daughter Judith but gives no more information - could she have married a Holt? If she existed?
