Wesley Walton Wells of 1312 North El Paso St, 36-year-old father of eight children, reported to the Ft. Bliss Reception Center today.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Wells said they are glad he has been drafted.
For three years, Mr. Wells has been a butcher making $190 a month at the Anderson Grocery store, 4129 Montana Street.
Under Government regulations, Mrs. Wells will receive $50 for herself, $30 for the oldest chid and $20 for each of the other children for a total of $220. Mr. Wells' pay wil be $23 less reductions for war bonds and insurance.
The Wells children are: Edith Joan, 12. Mary May, 11. Betty Sue, 9, Lelia Fae, 7. Wesley Ann, 5, Walton, 3. Fred Harry, 1 and Rilla Jane, 3 weeks old.
