Opal "Jackie" Barton of Dewey, AZ passed away peacefully and entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior at the age of 93 on June 7, 2011, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Antlers, OK to Grover and Cora Speaks on April 10, 1918. Jackie was a loving mom, Granner and faithful wife, having served with her husband in ministry as pastors of several Assembly of God churches in Oklahoma, Oregon and Arizona for more than 50 years. Jackie had been a resident of Arizona for over 40 years having moved to the Dewey area in 2005. Opal was preceded in death by her husband Austin in 1991 and three sisters. She is survived by her sons, Jerry (Shirley) Barton of Alma, AR, Jim Barton of Terrebonne, OR and daughter Jan (Sel) Larsen of Dewey, AZ Additionally, she is survived by one brother, Roger (Lucille) Speaks of Washington State and three sisters, Billie Beal, Tommie (Tom) Webster and Chris Adams all of Oklahoma. Opal is also survived by five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren who all loved their Granner very much. Celebration of Jackie's life will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday June 11, 2011 at LifePointe Church at 10100 East Highway 69, Prescott Valley, AZ. The family suggests memorials to: LifePointe Church or Hospice Family Care of Prescott in lieu of flowers.
