Primarly aken from the Vital Records of Taunton, 3 Vols. and the Bristol County records as well as handwritten entries in a small notebook dated 1891, held in the manuscript collection, Mss A 4588.

Presemed born about 1670, if about 25 when married.

Increase Robinson was of Taunton, MA. His son William was appointed administrator of his estate 20 March, 1738/9. Total value of his inventory, 13 Oct 1741, was over £1500.
13 July 1739, William Robinson transfered to his brothers and sisters (Increase Robinson, Josiah Robinson, John Robinson, George Robinson, Ebenezer Cobb and wife Mehitable [Robindon] Cobb, John Rowland and his wife Mary [Robinson] Cobb, Jedadiah Wilbore and his wife Ann [Robinson] Wilbore, Stephen Macomber and his wife Abigail [Robinson] Macomber, and Elizabeth Robinson) two tract of land Increase Robinson had gifted to William. Transfer was made in compliance with an agreement made 8 Jan 1738 together with my brothers and sisters. Bristol County Deeds, Book 32, p.287.

Children were probably all born in Taunton. 14 in all, said to include:
1. Mehitabel, b. 12 Jan 1695/6, married Ebenezer Cobb. she died in Hanover, Morris, Co, NJ, 12 July 1781.
2. William, b. about 1697, married Naomi Dean about 1735 (There is a marriage at Swansea, Bristol for William Robertson to Martha Bourn, 26 May 1729 -this is like a very different William Robartson in Swansea) William and Naomi had five children born in Taunton - she died after 15 May 1793 when she was identified as executrix of deceased husband in a suit to recover money from the etate. William died in Taunton 13 Jan 1778..
3. Mary, born say 1699, married 29 Aug 1736, John Rowland. She died by 2 May 1769 when her husband sold land and she was not named.
4. Elizabeth, died young. b. about 1701, died maybe 1712
5. James, b. about 1704, married Mary Challoner, 16 Oct 1740 in Newport, RI. He died 29 Nov 1745 and is buried in Newport. James is not listed in the Robinson Genealogy but the probate file of Increase Robinson includes a power of attorney to Stephen Paine of Bristol County, signed by James Robinson, dated 4 Mar 1742.
6. Josiah, b. about 1705, d. Raynham, MA, 23 May 1785. Married his first cousin Bethiah Robinson, 11 Jun 1740. She was the daughter of Ebenezer and Mary (Williams) Robinson. Josiah died 25 May 1785, Raynham, MA.
7. Anna, b. about 1706, died 16 or 17 Jun 1781, married 9 Aug 1738, Jedediah Wilbore.
8. Increase, b. about 1707, d. Pembroke, MA, 1 Dec 1767. Married in Plympton, Plymouth Co, 9 Jan 1737/8 to Margaret, dau of Joseph and Margaret (Phillips) Bonney.
9. Abiagail, b. about 1709, d. in Taunton by July of 1787; married Stephen Macomber
10. John, b. say 1711, d. 26 Apr 1787 in Raynham, married first, 9 Mar 1742/3, Lydia Bryant. Married, second 15 May 1780, in Raynham, Elizabeth (Atherton) Robinson, widow of Ebenezer Robinson. John & Ebenezer Robinson were cousins.
11. George, b. about 1713, d. after 1752, possibly as late as 1778 when his father-in-law mentioned daughter Elizabeth Robinson deceased wife to George Robinson; married Elizabeth Cobb, daughter of Captain Thomas and Lydia (Leonard) Cobb, sister to Gen. David Cobb, aide to George Washington
12. Lydia, b. perhaps 1715, married Joshua Hoskins by 1736. Died after 9 apr 1787, when son Lemuel sold all rights to the estate of father, Joshua Hoskins, decd, to the estate of his brother Joshua, dec'd, and to the dower rights of his mother Lydia Hoskins, now living. She may have been the widow Hoskins recorded in the Taunton death records, 31 Jan 1789.
13. Sarah, b. about 1717, died unmarried
14. Elizabeth, , b. about 1719, d. after 9 May 1774; married 11 Oct 1743 Nathaniel Lincoln, Jr, eldest son of Nathaniel and Alice (Andrews) Linkon.
