Peggy Sutphin Terrell, 82, Beloved wife of William D. Terrell IV of Beaver Dam, Va., died Friday, June 28th, 2013 .
She is survived by her husband William D.; Sons, William D. Terrell V of Beaver Dam, Charles Terrell of Beaver Dam, Wes Terrell of Leesburg, Ga.; Daughters, Ann Christian of Willis, Va., Elizabeth Terrell of Willis, Va.; Granddaughters, Amanda and Sydney Christian of Willis, Va.; Sisters, Mava Vass of Hillsville, Va. and Delores Fray of Willis, Va.
The family will receive friends Sunday, July 7th at 1:00pm at Locust Row. In lieu of food or flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Anglican Church.

Peggy Sutphin Terrell, 82, of Beaver Dam, Virginia, died on Friday, June 28, 2013, after a very brief battle with an aggressive form of leukemia.
She was born in Willis, Va., and a 1951 graduate of Radford College, The Women's Division of Virginia Polytechnic Institute, with a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics. She was the 1998 Hanover County Virginia Ruritan Club Christmas Mother, and a member of the Richmond/Montpelier/ Ashland Virginia Ladies Bridge Club for over 20 years. She had a lifelong passion for gardening, especially flowers. She loved choral music and Broadway show tunes, art, painting, antiques, history, genealogy, and travel. Mrs. Terrell was a member of the Trinity Anglican Church, Beaver Dam, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents, DeWitte Tyson Sutphin and Ida Sutphin of Willis, Va.;a beloved brother-in-law, Hassell Vass of Hillsville, Va.;a beloved brother-in-law, William Bruce Fray of Willis, Va.;and a beloved sister-in-law, Patricia Terrell of Lebanon, New Hampshire. Surviving are her husband of 58 years, William Dabney Terrell IV;five children, Ann Lewis Terrell Christian, her husband, Lawrence Allen Christian, and two granddaughters, Rachel Amanda Katherine and Sydney Chambers Christian of Willis, Va., William Dabney Terrell V and his wife Nancy Smith Terrell, of Beaver Dam, Va. community of Hewett, Elizabeth Foster Terrell of Willis, Va., Charles DeWitte Terrell of Beaver Dam, Va., and Timothy Westmoreland Terrell and his wife Kimberley Murphy Terrell, of Lessburg, Georgia;sisters, Mava Sutphin Vass of Hillsville, Va., and Delores Sutphin Fray of Willis, Va.;sister-in-law, Susan Terrell Long and her husband Anthony Cole Long, of Newport News, Va., and their five children;her nieces and nephews, William Martin Long, Anthony Scott Long, Stephanie Long Kikis, Michael Dabney Long, and Constance Long. The family received friends at a reception held at Locust Row Farm, Beaver Dam, Va., on Sunday, July 7, 2013. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Trinity Anglican Church.
