Maynard "Bus" Allen, 61, Indianapolis and formerly of Vigo County died Friday in Community Hospital Indianapolis of natural causes. He was a retired letter carrier. He was born June 9, 1924 in Vigo County to Alonzo and Hazel Little. Survivors include his wife Harriett Wilson Allen; his mother Hazel Langford, Terre Haute, one sister, Rosemary Oxendine, Terre Haute and several nieces and nephews. He was a graduate of Prairie Creek High School and an Army/Air Corps veteran of World War II. Services are scheduled for 10 am Monday in Shirley Bros East Chapel, Indianapolis. Burial is in Washington Park Cemetery. Visitation is after 2 pm today.
