I originally believed that Elizabeth was the daughter of Elisha Williamson Bowman & Sarah McMonigle since she married in Estill Co where he was then living. I have more than one autosomal DNA matches to a descendants of Elizabeth and Joseph Spencer so it would seem she does belong in the Bowman family. Others have placed her in the family of Nicholas Bowman and Isabelle Moore - but they were in Clay County. However other children of Nicholas & Isabelle did marry into the Spencer family. It's a puzzle...
