He was born 8 Sep 1904 in Atlanta, GA, and died 18 Oct 1958 of Uremia & polycystic kidneys, age 54. He was a rice farmer. His parents were William Watkins Haden and Lizzie G. Sims. Mrs. Mildred Haden was the informant. He was buried Restland Memorial Park, Dallas.

Joel W. Haden, 54, of Lake Village, Ark., a Dallas resident for 23 years, died Saturday in a Dallas hospital after a long illness. Prior to moving to Arkansas two years ago, Haden had been the factory representative for the American Sterilizer Company and the W. B. Capital Hospital Supplies Company.
He had also been employed with the E. H. McClure Surgical Supply Company in Dallas.
He was a native of Atlanta, GA
