Herbert Spencer Comstock
(7 Apr 1884 - 1966)
In 1945, Herbert was still living, a farmer, in West Simsbury, Connecticut - where all his children were born.
In 1912, two of Herbert's brothers, Charles Harvest and Lester Ward Comstock went to Rosebud, Alberta, Canada to buy land and start farming. Lester married and had three children, George, Robert & Catherine - the three were awared a plaque in 2015 for 100 years of registered farming. George and his wife are still on the original farm.
When Charles H. came to Canada he brought along his wife and Philip Allen Comstock, his nephew, son of Herbert. Charles raised Philip, reason unknown, but Charles had no children of his own. Philip inherited Charles's farm but later sold it.
