Elizabeth Noland
(1787 - )
FamilySearch tree places Elizabeth in the family of Daniel Noland and Mary Wilson. This is a possibility as at least one of her siblings was also shown as born in Kentucky. There was a brother, Stephen, and a Stephen Noland was bondsman for Elizabeth's marriage to William Wood - but the brother was born in 1801 and not old enough at age 7 to serve as a bondsman. But there was possibly also an uncle Stephen Noland who married Sarah Banks - whether or not he was in Madison Co to serve as bondsman is unknown. For an uncle to serve when a father was living is a bit unusual. Perhaps Elizabeth was Stephen's daughter - not Daniel's.
Madison County Indiana Deed Abstracts, p. 432, records a 28 Sep 1829 deed from "the heirs of Daniel Noland," which include "William Wood & wife Elizabeth" and "Ambrose Keeling & wife Nancy." Both Elizabeth and Nancy were married to these husbands in Madison County, Kentucky.
