Dennis's first wife was Naomi E. "Nancy" Thurman, believed to be the daughter of John Allen Thurman and Alice Bailes. Nancy was first married to William H. Merryman, 28 Jul 1829, Highland Co Ohio - there were three children. She married Dennis Condreay, 3 Mar 1844, Knox Co IL and they had one daughter, Rebecca, born 1845. Apparently they divorced. Nancy married a third time to John B. Strange III, 7 Jul 1849, Knox, IL and had four more children. Her name is Naomi on her gravestone (but the picture of the stone shows her as N. E. Strange), Amy on her first marriage, Nancy and Omi in other place. See 1850 census, Knox Co IL, and 1860, Louisa Co, Iowa. Said to be age 98 when she died in 1896, but that would make her several years older than Dennis - it also suggests she was past child-bearing age when some of her children were born. I suspect this is a case of a very old persons' age being exaggerated.

Married 2nd Catherine Olson, 22 Dec 1859, Weller, Henry Co, IL. They had several more children.
