Hugh Breck's will was dated 9 Mar 1590/1 and proved 24 Jun 1591.
Hugh Breck of Rainforth in the countie of Lancaster ..requested his goods and chattels be divided into three parts. One part to himself, one part to his wife, the third part to children, Robert, Henry, Edmond, and Margett. His part after his burial costs to be bestowed on the youngest children, Henry, Edmond, & Margett. Son Edmond was to have a sum of money before the divided. To Margett Smalshaw, one ewe lamb. Robert to have two beds, etc. also part of the white armor bought for service unto the prince and the lord. It was agreed between son Robert and Hugh that he was to give to Henry, Edmond, and Margett a sum of money. Executors to be son Robert and wife Ales. Supervisors son-in-law Willm Smalshawe, Willm Parr, Robert Parr, and George Lyone.
He made a list of his debts to son William Smalshaw, to Suzane Knowles, to daughter Margett and to son Edmond. And debts owed to him from Henry Godicare and Wm. Warner.
Witnesses were Williams Varlior, younger, George Lyone, Robert Parr, and others.

The children are all presumed to be Alice's.
