Bequests: To daughter Sarah Jump, the tract where John now lives, 300 acres, and all cattle. To son William, Negro boy Dread. To son Shadrack, one Negro boy Ruffin. To son John, Negro man Frank and boy child Henry. To youngest son Jesse, Negro boy Lake, and girl Juda. To Zachariah Vining, the son of Amey Peacock, one Negro boy Jim to be his when he arriaves at the age of 25 years, but until then for the use of Amey. To daughter Ann Williams wife of Joseph Williams, one Negro woman Rose and the feather bed I now lie on with furniture. To granddaughter Roda Vining, daughter of Cadar Vining, one Negro girl Charity. To grandson John Vining, son of Shadrack Vining, one Negro girl Treesa. To daughter Abegall Fasless, feath bed and furniture. Also to sons John and Jesse Vinimg, my wagon & two horse, stock of hogs, pewter, plantation tools with a debt on Jesse Pawlett of $40, with the residue of my property not herein enumerated to be equally divided between them. Executors to be sons John and Jesse.

Codicil. If I died before the present crop is finished, the property shall remain undivided until the Fall the crop is finished.
6 Jul 1801. All three witnesses appeared in court and swore that they saw John Vining sign the will in their presence and the presence of each other.
