Andrew Jackson Easterling died at Valley Baptist Hosptial, Harlingen, Cameron Co, TX. His residence was at LaMoyne Gardens where he had lived for 7 years. He died 19 Oct 1948 of pneumonia and senility; he was age 70 and married. He was born 19 Mar 1878 in Clanton, Alabama. His father was Elijah Easterling. Finis Easterling (a son) of Harlingen was the informant. The body was removed to Clanton for burial.

Mr. Andrew Easterling
Mr. Andrew J. Easterling, age 70, of Harlingen, Texas, passed away Oct 20th. The remains arrived over the L.&N. Railroad, Friday morning. Funeral was held at 3:00 p.m. from Temple Church, conducted by the Rev. A. T. Hickman and Rev. R. W. Stuckey; interment was made in the adjoining cemetery. Spigener Funeral Home was in charge.
He is survived by three sons - D. E. Easterling, Clanton, AL and Finis Easterling of Harlingen, TX and Hilton Easterling of Harlingen, TX; three daughters - Mrs. R. W. Mims of Clanton, Mrs. Wilma Jacobson and Mrs. Myrtis Knight, both of Harlingen, TX; three brothers - Charlie & Lew Easterling, and one half brother, Tommie Taylor, of Clanton, AL
Pallbearers were: Jimmie Taylor, James Easterling, Dalton Mims, Buddy Coggins, Aaron Hilyer and Allie Easterling.
Granddaughters and nieces served as flower ladies.

He was buried Temple Cemetery in Clanton, Chilton Co, AL.

Mary (Bice) Easterling died at the Valley Baptist Hospital in Harlingen, Cameron, TX. She had lived in Cameron for 35 years - her home address was 205 E Buchanan. Born 15 Oct 1890 in Clanton, Chilton, AL, she was 68 when she died 19 Aug 1959 and she was widowed. She died of cancer of the liver. The informant was Finis Easterling. Mary's father was Wiley Bice, mother unknown. The body was taken to Clanton, AL for burial in Temple Church Cemetery.
