I knew Charlotte was not living with her mother in 1860. I believe she was living with her grandfather (handwriting is terrible in this census, as is the spelling).

then the top of the next page is number 263 again and it's the Welden family - I believe the enumerator lost his place and didn't copy the rest of George's family. There isn't another male of this name and he lives close to several Headley families.

According to her entry in the Alabama Death index, Charlotte Headley was born about 1850, died 11 Oct 1937 in Thorsby, Chilton Co at age 87. Her parents were Jimmy Headley and Emily Barber and her spouse was G. W. Mims. FindAGrave shows that she is buried Cedar Grove Cemetery, Thorsby, Chilton, AL.
