An event which was rather unexpected by the people of Clanton was the recent marriage of Mr. Jesse Baker to Miss Alice Wyatt. The happy couple caught No. 3 Tuesday evening and sped away to Montgomery, where they were united in the happy bonds of holy wedlock Tuesday night....
Mr. Baker is well known in Clanton and Chilton County, having been in business here for the past several years. He is at present the county treasurer of Chilton and has for several years been engaged in the mercantile business.... His bride is the charming daughter of Mr. James M. Wyatt...

....The bride is the charming daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Jesse Baker, and Mr. Blalock is the son of Mr. & Mrs. James C. Blalock. The young couple will make their home in Clanton.
