In the name of God, Amen. I, Winneford Reynolds of the State and District aforesaid knowing that it is appointed unto all men once to die do make constitute and ordain this my last will & testament and First of all I commend my soul unto the Hands of God who gave it and my Body I recommend unto the Earth from whence it came to be Buried in a Christian like manner at the Descretion of my Surviving Friends and Executors and as touching such worldly Estate with which it hath pleased God to Bless me with I, give bequeath and dispose of in the manner and form following, to wit:
Item 1. It is my will and Desire after my death that my negrow woman by the name of Fillis be set free in the care of my Grand son George Mims who I nominate and appoint Gardian to take charge of her and one feather Bed & furniture & the one Sow & pigs, one pot, & one spinning wheel & next years provisions which I give to her to make use as she may see proper by the Directions of her gardian So long as she may live and not to be carried out of the said District.
Item 2. I give to Mary Mims, Daughter of my Grand son George Mims, one heffer with calf and checked sheet, one red chest.
Item 3. I give to Jane Mims, Sister to Mary Mims, one heffer with calf & one checked sheet
Item 4. I give to my Daughter Winneford Reynolds, one Bowfat (buffet) and what is in it and one large trunk and one bedstid and all the remaining part of my bed furniture and all my wearing clothes.
Item 5. I give to James Mims, son of my grand son George Mims, one hat.
Item 6. I give to my son Edmund Reynolds one loom
Item 7. I give to the children of my son James Reynolds, two Dollars.
Item 8. I give to my grand Daughter Mary Reynolds one Heffer & calf and checked sheet
Item 9. I give to the children of my Daughter Mary Mims, two Dollars.
Item 10. I wish all the remaining part of Estate real & personally to be sold and all My Just debts to be paid and then what is over paying my debts to be equally divided between my son Elijah Reynolds & my son Edward Reynolds, and my daughters Winneford Reynolds & Penelope Mims.
I do appoint my grand son George Mims Executor to this my last will and testament in who I put special trust and confidence to Execute this my last will and testament as above mentioned denying and disclaiming every other will and Testament whereof I have. Here unto set my seal this third day of December one thousand Eight Hundred and forty in the Sixty fourth year of America Independence.
