Heretofore this marriage has been ascribed to Margaret, daughter of Margaret Maxwell Haden, but this was very confusing given another record of Margaret's marriage to Jeduthan Marr in 1803. In 1806, Richmond Pearson brought suit against Margaret Brown as executor of Joseph Haden, dec'd, making clear that she was the widow of Joseph Haden, who had remarried.
