George Washington Bryant lived 2 and 1/2 miles SW of Ringold, OK. Although Ringold is in McCurtain Co, he stated his county as "Push." for Pushmataha - perhaps he lived just over the county line. He was age 50, born 31 Jul 1891 in Howard Co, AR. Erite Bryant is wife would always know his address. He was self-employed as a farmer. He was 5'11', 155 lbs with brown eyes and black hair.

George W. Bryant died at University Hospital in Oklahoma City. His usual residence was Ringold, Pushmataha County. He was married. He died 23 Jul 1951, age 69. (date of birth was typed in as 31 Jul 1951 - an obvious error, since he was born 31 Jul 1891). Born in Arkansas. Father's name was John Bryant; mother's name Cass Hayes. He died of fractured vertebra; cervical cord transection - an accident that happened on his farm in Ringold when he fell off a horse. To be buried in Ringold.

Services Set for George W. Bryant
George Washington Bryant, 59, Ringold, died at 8 pm Monday in University Hospital, Oklahoma City, of a spinal injury received when he was thrown by a horse several days earlier.
Born in Johnson County, Ark., Jul 31, 1891, he had resided in Ringold for 30 years, moving from Fort Towson. He had been a farmer for 40 years, and he was a member of the Church of Christ.
He is survived by his widow; three sons, Ernest Bryant, Ringold, and Laerence and Melvin Bryant, both of Dunningan, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Ernest McIntosh and Miss Maxine Bryant, both of Ringold, and Mrs. William Tramel, Arvin, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Bob Skiens, Wright City, and Mrs. Tom McKeever, Broken Bow, and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services have been set for 2 pm today at Ringold cemetery with Rev. Henderson Abbott and Rev. Albert Morton officiating.
