Jewell Leon Brown died 24 Apr 1978 at his residence on Highway 82 East, Rt. 1, Sherman, Grayson Co, TX of carcinoma of the lung. He had been ill six months. He was born 12 Feb 1903 in Grayson Co. Never married, he was a car inspector for the railroad. His father was Francis Marion Brown; his mother Wilma Virginia Dodson. T. W. Brown, his brother, was the informant. Buried Cedarlawn Memorial Park on April 25th.
His grave marker has a masonic emblem.
