Individual Details

Family tradition holds that Peter was a Hessian soldier in the Rev War - perhaps one of four brothers. They deserted and joined the Continental Army. Peter said to be only about 12 was a drummer boy. Five Imel males have been found in the records of Frederick Co, MD following the War - Henry, b. 1756, Thomas, b. 1757, Jacob, b. 1760, Joseph, b. 1762, and Peter, p. 1764.

Peter and Susannah had 13 children.
