David Farrell Haden
David Haden born Setpember 2, 1938 in Lindsay, California to Robert "Max" and Wilma Haden, died peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, May 28, 2012. David was a long time resident of Torrance and very active in the community for most of his life. He leaves behind his wife, Beverly. David and Beverly were married in 1999 and shared 14 wonderful years together. There were many joys in their lives and they especially enjoyed their 7 beautiful grandchildren. He also leaves behind his close family consisting of his son, Jeffrey and his wife, Stephanie and grandchildren, Amanda and Ethan; his son Michael and wife, Vanessa and grandchildren, Isabella, William and Anna; his daughter, Kathryn and grandchildren, Christopher and Ryan; stepdaughter, Deborah Vendetti; and his brother Doug Haden. David was a banker and started South Bay Bank in Torrance. He was well respected in the community and was an active member of the West Torrance Lions club for over 40 years. He graduated from UCLA and served in the armed forces. He loved books, golf, and family and was an ardent fan of UCLA football and basketball. David was loved by many and will be greatly missed but will live on in our hearts and memories. Rest in peace my prince, you will never be forgotten. Services will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Green Hills Memorial Chapel in Rancho Palas Verdes, CA with an interment site service to follow.
