"Family History of Abner Haydon" by James Marcus Haydon: During Civil War Abner and wife and her mother Mariah Cave Kirtley and youngest sister, Sarah Kirtley who married Joel H. Haden later, all went to Texas in wagons. After the war returned to Boone County, MO, except Mariah who died in TX. Mariah Cave's father, William Cave, was brother to Richard Cave Sr and Rebecca Cave who married Turner Richardson Haden. Mariah Cave therefore was a niece of Rebecca Cave and 1st cousin to Joel Harris Haden
