Edward Cornwallis Traveled from Medford MA taking Gershom Tufts with him to what is now Halifax Novia Scotia. Mary Baldwin married Gershom in Novia Scotia in 1750. Their son,Francis Tufts was born there in 1756 and Gershom returned to Medford at some point before dying in his birth town of Medford. Mary Baldwin apparently died in Halifax even though she was also born in Medford MA. Francis stayed on and the Tufts family grew in Halifax during the revolutionary war in America. One can only speculate how this couple got split up. Did Gershom remain in Medford to claim the land for other children or wives?
