Individual Details

Joseph C. Haden

(1 May 1852 - 8 Feb 1937)

The 1880 Census shows no children yet for Joseph and wife. Her name was indexed as "Louean" but looks to me like Sousan. A child, Willie Arnold, age 5 is living there, listed as a sister. There are several Black/Mulatto residents lested as servants or hired hands. Listed as tobacco Merchants and cousins are 4 men: C. P. Moton, W. H. Moton, Harry Moton, and J. M. Stuart. [It's probable these are Mortons, rther than "Moton" and they are the sons of Rebecca S. Haden Morton.]
