Discharge paper included in file states Dudley Bell of Co F, Capt. Ware's Co, 11th Regt, was discharged because of a wound at the Battle of Seven Pines, which had disabled him - dated 18 Jul 1862.
Followed by certificate from Wm. A. Davis, Surgeon at Chimborazo. Incapable of performing duties of a soldier because of wound of right wrist received in battle, loss of carpal bones and consequent stiffness of the wrist joint. Recommended for discharge and discharged 30 Jul 1862.
