Josephine was the daughter of Henry Kirke White and his wife Christine Fortier.
She had a son, Kirke White, by a former marriage. He was adopted by William Comstock and went by the name of Kirke White Comstock. He was born Fort Apache, Arizona, 22 Dec 1905.

She married a West Point graduate, Lt. George L. Morrison in 1905. [he would have been father of Kirke White above]
Josephine met William A. Comstock in Detroit and they were married on April 22, 1919.
Josephine is buried Elmwood Cemetery, Detroit - not with her husband at Alpena.
