According to an affidavit in his pension file, he died 18 Feb 1831, Genesee Co.,NY. He married Hannah SWEET 15 Sep 1779 at Winchester, Litchfield Co., CT. She was born 15 Apr 1763 and died 5 Jan 1847 at Stafford, Genesee Co., NY.
The children listed in an affidavit dated 14 Dec 1847: William Jr., b. 2 Dec 1780.Mercy, b. 5 Oct 1782, married to someone named FREEMAN at time of 1847 affidavit.
Roxy (Roxanne), b. 5 Mar 1785, married to a BETTIS at time of 1847 affidavit.
Roswell, b. 23 Apr 1787.
Clementina Amanda, b. 17 Mar 1789, m. Adonijah HARMON (Her children are listed on Alden Kindred site, http://www.alden.org/.)
Roby (Roberta?), b. 16 Mar 1791, married to a Jesse PETTIBONE at time of 1850 census. Alethea, b. 15 Jun 1794, m. to a HURLBURT at time of affidavit.
Diana, b. 13 Apr 1796, m. to David KEYES at time of 1850 census. She filed the affidavit.
Laura/Leora/Leona, b. 8 Nov 1798, m. to a DOUGLASS at time of affidavit.
(William's 16 Oct 1828 original claim for a pension mentions a daughter
named Candia (Claudia?), age 23, who was living at home and had a lameness in
one arm.
