Commentary #3, p. 9, of that article states in part: Benjamin Parkhurst, son of George of Watertown, has been linked to the Benjamin Parkhurst who obtained a grant in Woodbridge, NJ in 1670. The connection rests on the distinctive surname and the timing of his last record in New England ...and the first record of someone with this name in Woodbridge. ...This is not supportable. ...(his accomplishments) would have required an education not likely available to George's Benjamin, given the family destitution. ...we do not believe that Benjamin Parkhurst of New Jersey was the son of George of Watertown
He was apparently in New England, June of 1669, when there was a transfer of bequest from his Aunt Dalton by his half-brother, George, Jr.
