SAVANNA - Rodney Hayden of Savanna died Thursday in Savanna City Hospital. He was 75. Surviving are a son, Rodney Jr., of Chicago; a stepson, Kenneth Zink of Mount Carroll; two stepdaughters, Mrs. George Stricker of Mount Carroll and Mrs. C. C. Schupbach of Gary, Ind.; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Law-Jones Funeral Home here. Burial will be in Savanna Township

He is buried Savanna Township Cemetery, as was his wife.
He married Hazel M. Poffenberger. Her first husband was John William Zink (1878-1938).

The second daughter's given name was listed in John Zink's obituary as Mrs. Demerie Shupback. At the time of Ruth's death, both her brother and sister had pre-deceased her.
